Will be meeting up with family over Memorial Day weekend on Broken Bow Lake and was wondering if anyone has a recent report on crappie and/or walleye fishing. Plan on putting in at Holly Creek and maybe Carson Creek depending on the crowds. It's been a long time since fishing Broken Bow and most of the trips in the past have been north of Holly Creek up in the river area.
The spawn is over for Broken Bow. If I were you I'd concentrate on submerged trees in about 25 fow. You may have to move around to find a good school of crappie on one. The next thing is getting them to bite. The mayfly hatch is on and they'll hanging arounfd the trees to feast on them. If putting at Holy I would look in Linson and Bear creeks. If putting in at Carson Otter or Bee creeks will do the trick if you don't want to boat on up the river.
Thanks for the info. I figured the spawn would be over by now. Will hit the water and see what damage we can do tomorrow.
