Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay/Creek
I fished Limestone from 7AM till lunch. Fishing went from slow to mud by lunch time. Started with the current muddy and 61 degrees, but the pits were 65 degrees and clear with visibility of about 12 inches. As the water continued to rise the muddy water came into the pits and dropped the visibility to zero. I managed 8 and returned another 6 or 8 short fish before the water became chocolate milk and shut everything down. The first pit to the left coming in off the bay had the big Gator in it today. I think he's gotten even bigger. I got see him from about 20 or 25 feet away soaking in the sun. Still had to believe we have a Gator that big in North Alabama.
