I have a company fishing tournament on Sat 7/21. Can anyone point me in a good direction for crappie and/or catfish? This will be a daytime tournament, so if anyone has any advice on locations or techniques, I would greatly appreciate it.

I live about a mile down the lake from the 72 bridge. There seem to be a lot of catfish in the area.I seldom catch crappie so I am not much help concerning them. There are many people who fish the lake more successfully than I do so i hope they can help.
You can launch a boat from a place called "45" just as you cross the bridge from Greenwood County into Laurens County on Highway 72.
Best of luck and if you can let me know how you fare.:)
Thanks Manhattan. That's where we will be launching from. I've only been to Greenwood a couple of times and don't really know it well.
Are you familiar with driftin for catfish with Santee style rigs?
Not sure, but I'm willing to learn.Quote:

Hey Chris, copy me on that PM so I'll know how it works. Might want to give it a try on Lake Russell too. ;) :D Thanks.
Thanks to everyone who replied and/or sent PM's. Unfortunately, it got called off and hopefully it will be held at a later date.
