IT'S NOT ALL 'BOUT CATCHING A LIMIT.....
Fished hard last Friday and was truly blessed to put three fish in the well. I fished hard too. But I'm just as happy as if I had caught as limit of big ole slabs (which is 25 in my area). I've always thought, and still do, that it ain't all about catching a bunch of fish. No not at all. Catching fish is just an added plus to being out on the water and enjoying what a wonderful world we are blessed with. In the boat I can get away from all the chaos and evil I see when I turn on the national news media (of which I seldom do anymore since retirement) . It's a place where I can listen to my heart with no interruptions. It's a place where I can meditate on what the real purpose we were put on this planet is. Out on the lake, I can just shut the engine off and look around and come to a peace that some folk just don't understand. It's a time when I can come to ease with myself and my MAKER. Don't know why I decided to post this, but I felt lead to?
Life is good, and getting gooder.

We as a fishing society should not lose sight on what truly matters.

I completely agree and would like to share this photo. Grand Bayou in Coushatta, La at 6:40 in the morning. I was the only boat on the lake. Bad sign if you want to catch slabs, BUT you could not beat the view and quiet. Lake was beyond glass smooth. Very seldom do we get personal moments from God and this one was given to me that Sunday morning.
