Caught several fish today with a ragetty tail and bloody belly (looks like bloody anyway)? Are these things fanning a bed in November? They fried up good just the same!

Guess it is possible
A guide on lake Waco opened a fish 2 weeks ago with for SURE ready to drop bright orange yellow eggs full of bright red blood lines , everyone kept really quiet about it and pretended it didn’t happen , that was about 2 weeks after we ketched male fish sporting tuxedos further north in 3 foot of water , but we all know the fall spawn is totally fictional....:Rofl
You bet if I wasn't at the hospital with Momma everyday through this open heart surgery, I'd be finding out about this fall spawn fact or fiction...
Several of ours were carrying eggs as well…. Small little pouches though. Didn’t appear ready to drop.

The cold snap in Oct followed by the really warm weather here in November has alot of things sprouting and growing around here. Mother Nature has been fooled
I had some fish from green Sunday that looked like they were ready to drop their eggs.
As has been said many times….crappie can be caught in every month of the year and have eggs.

I read today that in 50 cold climates like canada they can spawn twice a year. Also said sometimes weather can cause a fall spawn between 58 & 65 degrees in other locations.
