Anyone here ever fish the Tigrett area, it has the old forked deer river bed running through it? I have tried several times for bass and crappie and never have much luck maybe one fish per 2 or 3 trips. It really looks perfect for fishing.

Used to be some good fishing down that way up until the mid 80's for bass and crappie. The weeds and pads took over and choked most fish out. It is also filling in with decomposing plants and backwater sediment. I miss jigging those trees with my papaw but as with most good things they have to come to an end somtime or the other.
