Taylorsville today 9/10/21
Got on the lake late and after launching at Possum Ridge headed to a couple of my usual spots. Started fishing about 10 am I guess.
Water temperature was about 78-79 deg and kinda green with a skum on top.
I planned on pushing minnows but decided to start off single polling.
Caught a few on 1/16 oz black/chartreuse split tail.
I then switched to a 1/16 oz wedge head unpainted black/yellow hand tie. Couldn’t get a bite without tipping with a minnow.
Weird bite,,,,it was almost like a bass bite when fishing a jig…tick, tick…also had to hold as still as possible and really pay attention. A couple times I raised the rod tip 4-5 inches and felt resistance and never felt the bite. No THUMP today.
Left the water around 3 pm and managed to squeak out 8 keepers and a couple were 12 inch fish.
All white crappie of course.
Oh, I might add that I was in about 12 FOW fishing 8-10 ft feet.
