I'm heading down from South Carolina to the Big O this Wed...any of you guys ever fish there, or could give me some tips for catching crappie there?
last year we mostly bass fished with shiners, but may try some crappie this year..thx for any info

The lake is still a mess from the hurricans. Some areas back in the weeds are producing some fish.
Right now the crappie fishing has slowed down. We were getting nice messes of crappies from the river and some of the cannels. They were real nice ones, some up to 2#. But the last week it has shut down. Hope it picks up with the full moon coming up.
