illinois outdoor news...bill sb 58 passed 116-0 reduced license plate fee from $118 down to $36...it also created a utility trailer plate for trailers 2000 lbs. and under for $25.bill was passed on may 31..Quote:

Looks like it is a gradual decrease, I just replaced mine for $154
Trailer plates have always been based on weight ratings. My boat trailer is rated for 3,000 pounds and used to be $18. They bumped it up to $118, and this year dropped it down to $36. I guess that's one way to double the trailer fees and make you happy about it. Sarcasm!Quote:
