My Home Away From Home

Hi all, my mother was born in Kentucky at Gobblers Knob many years ago. Along with my uncle we started an annual trip to KY lake in about 1958 or 59.
That was at Pearl Forrest Resort and MRDUX has provided with information on that resort on the east side of KY lake, I hope to make it to that area soon.

Over the past 45 years I have been to the lake most years, of course some not. Often we had the kids on a pontoon and just having fun and we always had a blast, what a lake. Expansive and beautiful is how I describe the lake that has been such a part of my life.

After a pandemic enduced absence of 2 years the wife and I will be back this late September and we are excited about our 1 week trip. We will be staying at King Creek as we have for several years. They treat us as their friends and we enjoy our time so much.

We will rent a fishing pontoon for most of the trip, Pisgah bay is almost straight across the lake from us, we have fished it with decent success.

We want a better fishing trip, I know we should hire a guide and if so Mr Dux would be my choice but not sure if he is back to work.

Would love to catch a few more fish and just wondering if any of you in that area might have suggestions on area or techniques.
We are old folks and just want to have a little more fun.
