Rain and Heat
My wife and I fish every Saturday (nearly) and that's it for us as a rule.
We fish a spot we have found at Monroe and we fish a spot we have found at Crosley which is south of Vernon.
Fishing from bank we just haven't had many "good" years in awhile but this year has been better, we don't know why but not complaining.
We fished Monroe from the docks starting last October and for the first time we used jigs and we had good visits, not by many folks standards but it was fun for us.
We don't keep fish and therefore don't "really" keep count but we have been able to catch fish every week end out from late last year leading into now.
This past Saturday my wife caught several real nice Bluegill off the bottom at a lake in the Crosley area and they were nice gills, 4 of them.
Me, being and "old man" was content to stay in my spot and happy catching baby red ear and my they were little.
The wife is an aggressive fisher woman. We usually use red wigglers and night crawlers but the jigs have us intrigued.
Has this been a better year for anyone? It can't be just us.
I would like more fish but enjoy outings like we've had but I Just Want More!
Thanks for reading.
