Idea And Tip For Clouser Minnow Eyes
Here is a neat idea for Clouser Minnow eyes. Use bead chain! :)
Cut it into "pairs of eyes" Then you can heat it over a candle flame and dip them into powder paint to get a nice even coat. I have been mixing a combination or "Pearl" and "Fluorescent glow-in-the-dark chartreuse" powder paint in a jar and just dip the bead chain eyes into it (one side at a time) Finish the eye with a black pupil. (Use a toothpick or small matchstick and dip it into vinyl jig paint.) Touch the black paint to the eye while the powder paint is still warm and tacky!
Finish by covering with either epoxy or hard as nails clear fingernail polish
and you have eyes for making lures. I usually make 40 pairs of eyes at a time.
Let me know what you think.
