Clean little reel. Congrats
Thank you Jack. Growing up My late father had two reels. Both Mitchell Garcia's. A 300, and a 408. I found a 300 a year or so ago, but need to get it to a repair shop for a going through and the anti-reverse fixed. This one needs a thorough cleaning as the gear grease is hard and away from the gears. I'm going to start collecting them one at a time if I have to. They are some very good reels if taken care of...
I have an old 304 I picked up a few years ago. They are well made reels
Yes sir they are
man them bring back memories , the poor fish never knew what was coming when I showed up as kid with one in my hand , just about every freshwater fish species and a bunch of saltwater fish too , met their makers .
man they were tough smooth reels , drags sang nicely and the balance and durability was unsurpassed back in the day .
congrats to ya sir :highfive
Thank you Ketchn
Congrats, JD. That reel looks like a real nice find!
Bob
Made back before the handle could be moved to the other side.
Yes sir, the 308 was cranked with the left hand, 309 cranked with the right hand...
