Been out of commission
Well hello girls. Been a while. I have been meaning to make some posts on some fishing trips but You got to go fishing to do that. Little over a month ago I got in a work related accident. My big toe on my left foot was crushed and had to be amputated. So I'm in recovery now and will be for some time. Dr to me to sit on my butt. Don't do anything until he says otherwise and let the healing process run it's course. I should be able to do everything I did before once healed as a small part of toe was left for balance and bone structure. Just got to get there.
Joel and I received our back to back tournament championship trophies about a week before the accident. We are Albemarle Crappie Trail 20/21 Crappie Kings. Very proud of my pard.
I have all intentions of getting healed up well before September before tourny season kicks off again. Ain't no toe or lack there of going to stop me from fishing. I'm chomping at the bit to get back on the water. Just can't push it so I heal right and quick in a long process. Just thought I'd give you fellas the remember me a heads up on whats been going on with me and one reason why I have been quiet anyway.CF

Good to hear from you Ed but not the accident. Take care of yourself and listen to your dr. Sometimes they know what they are talking about.

Dang Farmer....sorry to hear that but lemme tell ya, it could be worse. I'm a Plant Manager and last Thursday I got the dreaded "4am call".......long story short, employee fell off the back of a semi-trailer and broke his dang leg.....so I can kinda vicariously relate to what you're going through.
Were you working somewhere? I seem to recall you gave up farming, didn't you?
Anyways, get better soon...I'm sure you'll kick this injuries butt.....it'll just be a slightly less effective butt kickin :)
