Just a little help here.
I am installing a Solix 15 SI on my boat. I know I get better resolution going straight to a battery that has nothing else on it. I will be adding a mega live and another screen to view it on so my question is what size battery and is lithium a viable choice? Don’t have room for another battery in back so the battery will be installed up front under deck.

SOLIX units are power hungry ... MEGA Live we don’t have info yet ...
I would suggest at least a 29 series for 2 SOLIX units unless your normal fishing day is half day at most ...
Lithiums I have no experience with but some guys here do ... so maybe they will post recommendations for a lithium size ...

If you want lithium..I would go 100 amps and hook all your electronics to it. Lithium gives a constant amperage to your electronics with no loss as it uses its power. Shop around for best prices as demand and supply has been moving prices up on some manufacturers. I use the Ionics with a Bluetoothed phone app for monitoring my battery usage. Amped seems to be lesser priced if you can get them.

Thanks I will check them out.

10 hrs of fishing...I have my 25 hp Yamaha, running lights, bilge pump, helix G2N MSI, 10 MDI G3N, 12 G4N MDI, gps puc, network, and Mega 360 hooked to a 100 amp Ionic, 52 percent left in battery. 12 volt MK power drive v2 ipilot running constantly at 5-5.5 speed of 1.6 to 1.8 cranking crankbaits hooked to 2 100 amp Ionics at 10 hrs usage with 50% left in them.. with all electronics on running from spot to spot,,the 25 hp Yamaha will charge the 100 amp at 11-12 amps charging according to the phone amp. I honestly don’t run the big motor enough to give the battery much of a charge when fishing.
