Anybody use DuraMax brand oil? A local auto repair place uses it exclusively. Synthetic blend or full synthetic. Thinking about trying it for a 2400 mile drive.

What are you using now? and why would you change?
My usual place (30 yrs) lets me supply my own oil and pay for filter and labor. I always use Castrol Edge. I have become disappointed in the way they treated my daughter so I'm testing the water on new places to go. I have never heard of this oil but the place says they will match it against any oil for quality. Do I need to say that I expected that [emoji846]

Me personally have a tendency to change oil brands as not all oils have the same additives some may have better detergents etc.
If it meets the minimum specs for your engine, run it.
I'm not convinced there is a whole lot of difference between different brand oils. You will never see an engine that failed because of cheap oil, only because it was the wrong type, or not changed often enough.
I use Shell Rotella T6 in my 2003 F250 with a 6.0 Powerstroke in it. Great oil and I can get 2.5 gal jugs at Rural King or Wal Mart for under 50 bucks!
