HOW DID EACH OF YOU COME UP WITH YOUR C.COM FORUM NAME

In these 25 years of the existence of C.Com I have seen many different forum names. Some are Slab, "G", Skiptomylu, Snake River, Buckeye Crappie, Special K, Crappie Pappy, Ketchn, and so many many more. I started to wonder if there is a story behind each forum name and why you chose it. I am asking you to share how you picked your forum name. This thread will be great reading 25 years from now.

I will start with Shipahoy 41. Attached is a You Tube song by the O'Jays. If you carefully listen to just the first two minutes, you will have no doubt at all why I chose "Shipahoy" This song is about the voyage of a slave ship. Just please listen to the first two minutes with an open mind.

Mine was simple. I go by trad bow on all the forums I frequent but here. I use to log on here with that forum name several years ago but with a different email address. Couldn’t never figure out how to change email so I created new account with just my initials RJR.

I was reading an article about how dollfly jigs were made and the story of Elmer "Doll" Thompson the enventer of the jig. I like to use marabou jigs so in honor of Mr Thompson I chose the name.

Last name is Keefer so years ago I started selling model trains on Ebay and a buddy was showing me how to set up my account.

When it came time to set up my name he said well you like to fish just use Keeferfish.

in my first attempt on a fishing forum I used "the outlaw ketchn whales"
reasoning was my like for the movie and my sense of humor
have since slightly modified it a bit to its more recent versions
the poor grammar and abuse of the English language are also my thing
and then the lack of images to help a catching fish story bore me ....so ....
hence the terribly poor spelling of "catching" and the photo after photo thing .....:Rofl
in the end I just enjoy being who I am and have no want need or wish to be anyone else .
and as always the "ketch" word is ....
