Now I can tie a few jigs, lol. Self inflating vest for the boat, Lake Master card for the old fish finder, and some braid line to try...If the weather holds I'm hoping to get my little boat finished up and finally get it wet, ( in the Lake). Lord knows it's been wet from the rains we been getting...
When I bought my new boat, I did some reading about life vests. Everyone was in agreement that if you had it handy it would work. Well handy might not be as handy as needed if stowed away somewhere. From there the auto inflate style became the best option and I wear it the entire time. At first it was odd, but just yesterday I failed to notice it even once.
“Local undertaker drowns in Lake Orange”..... will not be my obituary. Very easy to stumble and go in head first, only to surface and watch the boat sail off into the distance because the trolling motor knows where to go. My lakes got big gators and that will be enough of a challenge.
So I am curious about them there Lake Master thingies. Obviously they are tailored to your area, but is there enough detail to warrant the cost ?
If their are anything their, it is worth the cost. Yes I checked it out and yes to me it is. running in unfamiliar waters (navigating), then their is the ability to set coordinates of structure you have found, to return to the same spot again. To me, yes.The Lake master thingie is for Hummingbird units, and this particular one is for the Great Plains area,(IA,IL,KS, MO, and NE). in the list of Lakes in My state alone their are four lakes I either have fished or plan on it, so yes Sir, to me, I think it is worth it...Thanks for checking out the thread...
Nice haul from your shopping trip:biggrin This will give you a lot of new things to try on your vise. Hope to see some new ties soon.
Bob
