Forgot to post this yesterday...
Didn't do too bad. Prolly caught a dozen including a nice bass that almost took the rod out the boat.

The weather was great. Little wind, and I could fish where I wanted. I'm convinced that at least here in FL where I'm fishing in only 5-6 ft of water, wind rocking the boat (and thus the jigs) scares the fish. I see it tin the livescope. No wind, no bouncing jigs, and I can get fish to bite (using slabsauce helps of course). But if the wind is rocking the boat, I'll catch'em but far fewer, just cause the jig bounces so much.

This is the 14 ft bgjp I carry with me that the bass just about took out the boat. I fish with three rods off each side of the boat. A nine footer, and two 14 footers on each side. This 14 foot rod with a single jig on it I have on board I use to single pole the pads when the occasion arises. But since it's just sitting there, I'll throw the jig off the back of the boat in the wake of the boat, just in case something wants to hit it. That bass did hit it, and that 14 ft rod went shooting back. Almost went overboard. It happened so fast. I barely grabbed the back of it before it was gonna go splash. If it had been a 13.5 ft rod or shorter, it woulda been gone! :Rofl
