Late report but I went Sunday 3/22. Water was stained up and pretty muddy. Water is high and shoreline and buck brush is flooded several feet. I struggled to catch fish and didn’t mark many on the sonar but did see a few right on the bottom outside of the coves on the main lake. Water was about 50deg. Did you manage any fish?

Accidental post.
I was going to go this coming weekend looking at weather with wind think I’m gonna cancel 250 one way too much for not such good fish. I only do good 1/3 of time at rend usually wind is terrible
shelbyville is closer seems to have beeper reports but campgrounds open too late
Don’t let me not catching fish keep you from going. I don’t fish Rend much and am still trying to figure it out. I am strictly amateur.

I went to rend on Monday, but was targeting catfish. That being said, however, when I was catching shad with my cast net I found a ton of crappie suspended in about 15 feet of water all along the north side of Rt. 154. It wouldn't take someone long to find them. They were holding about halfway down the water column.
Ended up with more than a few in my cast net so they got a free trip to the surface and then thrown back in the water.
Water temperature was about 52 on the main lake and I found it as high as 56 in the backs of the bays.
For what it's worth, the catfish are enjoying the nicer weather too.
I fished at rend today near the waltonville sub impoundment, we didn't have any luck fishing with minnows. We came across some guys who were wadding amongst the buck brush and they said they had caught a few. We we stayed north of the rail road tracks trying to stay out of the wind.
