I read this early this morning and was happy to see Opossum lake north of Carlisle Pa. is open to fish and keep pan fish. Minimum size to keep crappie will 9 inches. It has been many years since they drained the lake and prior crappie fishing used to be rewarding in the spring. Also if I read things right it will not close in March so that can be a great time to pursue crappie.

+1 on this post, Keith. This was a very comprehensive article. I think the commission tried to adjust to the realities of another year of pandemic problems, as hopefully 2021 is a recovery year and will not be normal. I liked that a modified volunteer program is coming back, and will hopefully end the “dump ‘Em all and run” from last year. An effort is being made to get things better.

The state was bugging me on Face Book to like their page. So I did and ended up with a few things from them. Saw this, and knew to bring it here. Don't mind posting other info on other species here. Don't believe that anyone fishes for just one species.
