Garmin electronics
Anyone else having issues with their Garmin stuff? I run two Garmin units and also have the panoptix. Seems like something is always going bad. I’ve had to replace cradles, Transducers, And now the panoptix transducer has shorted out on me. Just curious if anyone else has seen as many defects.

No issues with mine. Had them about a year.

I bought a Garmin Striker 7s year before last and had nothing but issues with it. I have had my Lowrance 7 Elite for five years and never had any problems.

Been running echomaps for over two years and the panoptix. Just curious. I like the panoptix. Never had these issues out of lowrance. Also don’t think the side imaging is all that great with these garmins. Maybe the newer models are better. Just gets aggravating when the stuff is always broke for the price they cost.

I know a lot of folks love Garmin but to be honest they really put a bad taste in my mouth and I just don’t think I would be willing to shell out over two grand on one. I might be missing out but I think I am sticking with Lowrance.

I have had to reinstall updates a couple times, I'm updating from my phone using active captian. Packets get lost sometimes doing that and it is unstable. Using a card would be better but I live dangerously. I had an update on my 73sv a month ago that gave me the transducer not found and incorrect transducer error's. The recent update fixed that and it's run well since.
