Amazing the amount of rain in a day!
We've been in a drought for months and my pond's water level was only a few feet off bottom. The depth is usually around 7' but that dropped after weeks of no precip. My rain gauge showed 3" had fallen which equated to an increase in depth by 4' with more rain to fall in the next few days. An enclosed hole in the ground accumulates water faster than a flat field and in my case two downward angled drain pipes gushed water from the adjacent wetlands for 24 hours and still continue to pour water though slowly.
At least the fish won't be easy targets for predators.
