11am. Wife says “it’s warm. I’ll go to the river with you and walk the loop while you find some fish”. So we did. First stop, ride too far out. No fish. Second door. No fish. Let her out to walk the 4 mile loop around the barge pit. Found a few while she was gone. Saved my backup spot for her return.

We had a nice afternoon. 89 boats in the King of the James catfishing tournament today. Was a bass tournament too. Plus the river was full of large debris left from last weeks flood. I did bend a prop blade.
The fish in the pic was 14.25" long. I should have weighed it. It had a fat belly. Don't know if it had gorged on food or if egg making has begun.
