Lake Tawokoni
My son and I have been fishing Tawakoni for about a year. We have a Helix 10 MSI, and can not locate any brush piles. We look and look and then we just head over to 2 mile bridge eventually. I have looked on line for waypoints of structure for this lake but can not find any. There are several other lakes such as Fork and Palestine. Any suggestions other than look harder? We have spent countless hours trying to find them.

I don't know that lake but that sonar is more than capable.
Consider adjusting some settings and increase sensitivity.
Also I would try scanning around 100 feet in 455 khz. Mega is great but it does not reach as far as the lower frequency. Once you see something then crank it back up to mega and do a closer scan like 30 feet out.
Don't be afraid to sink your own piles near creek channels and points. You can save yourself some time in the long run.

The Wok turns out several limits from the bridge but if I was close to Fork I'd prefer that lake over Wok any day.....

deep winter ,late jan. early feb . along the dam in around 25 fow on the big dead heads that sink along the dam is stupid good
you can limit on a mix of black and white toads early in the day on some of those huge old sunken flat on the bottom trees .
tandem rig 1/8 jigs to get thru the clouds of striper ,hybrids , yellow bass , white bass and bluecats fast or you will load the boat with less desirable species .
that lake has more fish in it than water i swear
