Is it to walk up to a real busy courtesy dock at a big public boat ramp and just absolutely SLAUGHTER the crappie in the crowd ?
Now mind you no one was fishing on the courtesy dock , what fool would do that with boats banging against it and people beating the water all up around it ?:yikes
The heaviest of feet coming down the ramp often rock that floating dock . The marshal who wanted to check my license was a quite noticeably big fella and we ...the crappie and me ...felt him coming long before he got to us ! :yikes
Let me make one thing totally clear , those boats in many cases lost lots of daylight watching the fishing show :Rofl
So if you get time to , I suggest you tune into the Ketchn channel , I managed a mere 57 in 75 minutes and its quite possible you could do the same . The fall migration and open mouthed highly cooperative crappie are doing what they do as I type .:cheers2
particulars you ask ......bright as the sun nuclear chart on a 1/16 pink sparkle number 6 j hook . 6 lb. clear Zebco ominflex , 6 foot light rod .fast action of course . a chart crappie nibble and a pitch in the shade with a VERY slow drag on it ,not many hit the jig if it was still .water depth of 7 to 9 feet and lots of real nice slab size fish in the mix , the water temp was .....wet suit friendly jet ski dude in front of me waking the dock cool . :yikes
Sure was busy out there i tell ya :ThumbsUp
nothing like 5 pm at the boat ramp in the big ole metroplex for sure rotfl
