Vortex Trailer hubs
bought a war eagle trailer that has these hubs . I looked them up and the caps screw off . Anybody ever use these ? Says they need nothing for 100,000 miles . Apparently a Lucas oil product (based on that is what they are originally filled with ).Attachment 385073

Nope, never seen 'em, but I would still be on the look out for water getting in there, along with break down of the grease in there.
The cap on that end may do well, but the seal on the other end would be my long term concern.
Come to think of it, I don't recall water ever getting into mine thru the cap end...
I posted a while back about when I jacked up my trailer and gave each wheel a spin, and found one to be grinding - no other sign. I broke it down, the grease still looked good, but one of the roller bearings had broken in half, one half was missing, the other half was just tumbling around somewhat in there. No excessive heat, no other warning.
No substitute for occasional inspections - jack it up, spin each way, push and pull on it, keep lubed as needed, and then you can trailer with confidence!
I also know a guy who found a nasty cut on the inside of a trailer tire - don't forget the tires!

I have them on my Ranger trailer after ditching the original oil bath hubs and installing these last year. They come preloaded from the factory with Lucas blue marine grease. They’re warrantied for 6 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. There should be a grease zero on the back side of the hub so when you pull the wheel off you can remove the cap and add the Lucas grease through the zerk and the old grease pushes out the front of the hub. Seems like a solid system that reminds me of the Dexter axle system without the zerk in the spindle itself.

on this model the cap screws off and the zerk is under the cap . Adding grease forces old out . Works as you described but no zerk on back of hub .
