But to be sure the little 197 bird chirps and shows me what I need to know at a glance .
Started slow , fish scattered , high up in the water column .
Finished HOT , fish decided to sit down some on a old dead head .
8 am to 10 30 am and they seemed to like the natural color best for me .
the other person used a pink and white really old slab bandit and hurt them with it .
crappie ketchn often consists of slow starts and hot finishes in some cases .
Figuring out what they are doing or where they are on a visit to the lake often takes a little time . First 3 stops produced a few fish but there didnt seem to be a pattern we could really dial up . Stop 4 the pattern was definitive and the fish were in numbers and biting well .
What was that on the graph you ask ? I am of the opinion we were seeing a thermocline with recent rain debris settled in it . now mind you this , i just guess alot and formulate my theories . the good news is this .....
it wasnt noticeable on spot number 4 and the fish were thru out the water column .kept a livewell full for the man to have with his family for dinner .
another thing you might notice is more than one fish hooked exactly the same way ? why might you ask ? Again i am not sure but i see it frequently on lots of good bites . there seems to be a way they want to take the bait that is often the same over and over .
thats the monday report and now off to another lake to see what might be up over there .
KABOOM is the word for sure :cheers2
p.s. no that aint a prop wound , its a cormorant bite and i might also mention this .....
I REALLY DONT LIKE THEM BIRDS !
