Wister - Report 8-19-2020

Started early in the morning and I'm glad we did. After noon ish the bite really trailed off..

We managed 17, really nice, quality fish, and probably that many short fish.

All jigs.. Some hair and some on beaver bottoms that I cut down to create a smaller profile. Some brush piles and some on stumps in 5-8' FoW.

The gentleman I took hadn't been fishing in three years and is a self professed "crappie rookie". He was blown away by Livescope. Pretty sure he's ready to go again.. Haha

The best part is that he's going to have his family and a few friends over for a fish fry this weekend.

I truly love sharing this sport that brings me so much joy.

Nice report and I agree with your buddy, eating them is my second favorite thing about crappie fishing, the thump is still number one.
