I was surprised you hadn't received any comments, but remembered there was a tournament coming up there. Looks like Crappie USA has a stop there in about a month. Never fished there myself, so I'm no help! Seems like guys are more tight lipped when. Tournament is coming up.

fished shelbyville instead . caught lots, seen lots on live scope but none over 11"
whats the deadline on entry of carlyle tour. can you fish by yourself in it.
Information is on their Facebook page and I assume regular website. I haven't ever fished a tournament, so don't know particulars.

Launch at Apache ramp, it's free, lots of parking, is a protected cove, and has alot of "stuff" in it. As you exit the cove, there is more stuff on either side of the riprap. Since you have livescope, should be easy to find.
The old channel swings in, from Hazlett (north of this location) to about sailboat harbor. There are several more coves In this area, some have laydowns also.
If I knew more, I'd spill it.
Watch the wind!!! Can't stress this enough! Carlyle gets rough, quick. Watch the weather forecast before you leave home.
fished carlyle tournament 9/12 20 fished one spot all day 100 crappie, 7 best weighed 7.92 ,second place .needed a balance beam to pick out the biggest but didn't have one.
