Clarks Hill Stripers 7/26

The Striper fishing on the upper end of CH has been tough for me for the last 2 months or so to the point where I've made a few trips to mid-lake areas to find them. Yesterday was a different story however. We got on the water around 7 and went to where I suspected them to be. The Helix 12 confirmed my hunch so we put lines down and it was on! We stayed steadily busy until about 9am when the bite abruptly ended. We stayed another hour in the heat without a bite and when we got home we had 12 in the live well. During the 2 hours of catching, we put at least 10 small ones back to tussle with another day. I hope this continues and the good reports can follow.
