I've not been since early spring, so no report.
Cataract has been pretty good lately though.
I heard it was hot there.... literally

I was there July 3 got there at daylight was gone by 11:00 I have never seen that many boats on that small of a lake before. We ended up with about thirty keepers all on various picos colors and yes the lake is very hot. I think I’ll wait until September to go back.

Drove down south shore drive yesterday Along the lake and it was packed with pleasure boaters,,bays had boaters parked everywhere anchored. Jet skiers galore,,I did see a couple of boats trying to fish. Looked very ugly packed and as we drove out,,more boats showing up to launch adding to the mix. Weekends are definitely out to fish.

I know of one guide that will no longer guide on Patoka. Crappie USA quit holding tourneys on both. Here is couple weeks ago Indiana Slabmasters Tourney with fish size average caught 0.34 lb ave size fish weighed in. I realize it was hot, summer time,, tough fishing for those guys but the results is nothing to brag about. DNR needs to take a hard look at these results and step up and do something but we all won’t hold our breath on that happening. Kudos to the guys that endured Patoka.Quote:
