The "windbeater" (a/k/a "driftbeater") is a specific type of waggler that will help, also. They're nice to have but not essential, IMO.

for BG anytype of float that you don't overweight will do. like the cheap red/white small ones with a small spider or worm on a small hook for them
What's the reason for the cork? Can you not tightline the spot?
Comal makes a pink slip float. It's shaped like an egg.
