Jim .... I'm gonna use 8# test clear mono (I think that's what it is), or else it's 8# clear/blu mono (which I hope it is) .. but, I've used 6# hi-vis & clear on a couple of other rods I've used before when fishing with a buddy that has LS, and I did OK with them. He's currently using 10# fluorocarbon and has a bit of a problem with the line getting kinked up or tip wrapping his 12' rod. He's about to go to 8# clear/blu mono for those reasons. He thinks he gets less bites with hi-vis, just like he thinks that "jiggling" the jigs when they're close to the fish scares them sometimes ... but, I proved him wrong on both those counts.
I said I hope the line I have on my new 12' rod for LS fishing is clear/blu, because when using the rod with "clear" line I had a problem seeing the line and didn't always have my jigs in the LS zone where I could see them on the screen. I'm just so used to using hi-vis lines when casting and watching the line for any movement, rather than waiting to feel the "tic", that I kinda get anxious about not knowing where my line is .... I'm hoping that fishing with "MY" LS system will cure me of that. I've caught way more fish without ever seeing or feeling any "tic" or "thump" when fishing with my buddy & his LS ... just feeling weight when I start to raise the rod tip up, whether or not I can see my jigs on the screen & fish close to them. (which is another reason I want to be able to see my line, so I'll know if it stops falling before it could possibly be on the bottom or in the brush, or if it "jumps" on the way down) .

15-20lb braid! Tied straight to the jig! It’s so incredibly sensitive!!

Me too. 20 lb braid comes in 6lb diameter. I like the fact that the braid doesn't twist and curl off the reel.
10/2, feel the bite plus it shows better on LS to track jig.
