Took an evening jaunt, 6-17
I looked at the conditions yesterday afternoon after work and loaded up and headed out for a couple hours of aquatic therapy. I launched about 5:15 with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze. Tossed out my 3 lines and began to troll; only took 3-4 pulls on the oars before the 1st fish of the night inhaled the crappie stinger. I think about 11" or so:

Took a while before a small bluegill came in to the boat and got released with sore lip. Long dry spell and then a smaller crappie, maybe 9" and a good size rock bass.

I noticed another boat coming along and recognized a new member here to crappie.com, WC870 and his son. He recently got a new to him boat and it's a really nice setup, first time I'd seen it. We talked for a bit and I moved out and got back to trolling. Took a while to get my next one and decided to head across the way to where the drop off on the other side would soon be in the shade of the hill. Smart decision as I was soon in to more active fish and a more active bite. Quickly hooked 3-4 more fish on the troll, between 10 and 12" . All came on stingers of various colors but the green with white tail was clearly the hot lure.

I rang 870's phone and suggested that he motor over to where I was having such good luck; this was his first time on this water and he wasn't hitting too many. His luck didn't change much when he did come over but over the next 40 minutes or so I was able to put 6-7 additional fish, around 9-10" in to his cooler for him. Also landed a number of smaller gills and a small bass. Called it quits about 8:15 and headed back to the landing and home.
