The directions say to mount transducer to the right side of the motor with clockwise rotating prop.
I am mounting it on a pontoon boat and theres nowhere on the right to mount it. my old lowrances all mounted transducers on left side
What gives? Will it be ok where the old one was since its 3 feet from the prop?
Have seen that forever. My only guess is that on left side you may pick up a little more prop wash on the left side. Has to be some Method to the madness.

I would give it a try first. A non-ptoon would definitely put the xducer closer to the motor.
