Tops on cross lake legal?

I've looked on everything I can find online. And read thru the Louisiana fishing rules, but can't find anything out, does anybody know if it's legal to put treetops out on the lake? I looked on the cross lake page on Facebook and some people said yes and some said no, I didn't know if anybody here would know for sure, or how I could find out if I can legally put them out. Thanks
