All the parks on the Brownlee reservoir in the powder River or in Hewitt Park are open for camping the fishing is been slow for Crappie we have gone down three nights ago to Hells Canyon and caught a few Crappie probably about 5 to 8 inches you have to wait till dark before they start hitting but really really slow and they are really finicky we caught fish on a small marabou jig 1/80oz. The color was dark purple was the only thing that they were hitting they would not hit anything in plastics they have not spond out yet in that applies to all the freshwater game fish in the snake river system is they are full of eggs yet. I truly believe that we are in the cycle and it will be a while before the Crappie fishing picks up. Due to the water fluctuation in Brownlee reservoir that is another story I do truly believe that they would leave the water alone that that fishery would come back for the Crappie smallmouth bass fishing has been excellent lots of them 6-27-2020.
