Sometimes when I'm using certain colors it seems to volcano instead of properly suspending the powder paint. Can anyone here offer some tips to avoid this?
Some paint because of pigment density takes a long time to fluidize. I have time so I just stir and wait it out. Different colors definitely take different pressures of air. Temperature and humidity will also effect how all this goes. I have never found a sitting that does all paint the same. Good luck
I agree 100% Grumpy.We all have some thing we like to do with different paint densities.Whenever I change a color I like to increase air pressure up a little bit while the lid is still on the cup(to lift/fluidize),then turn it down to about a normal setting,take off the lid and adjust up/ down to a minimum air volume.Every paint is just slightly different of the others.Some are easy ,some are always more of a pain to adjust.

Are you using a 2" or 3" bed? The 2" beds are more likley to volcano it seems.

Put some gloss clear in with your paint it is a lot lighter and will help most colors fluidize much better.
