Where would you go?
I am planning on taking a crappie fishing trip the second week of March. I have not picked a location yet but spots are limited due to all the rain. Willing to drive 6-8 hours. Live in southern Indiana. What lake would you choose?

I would choose a nice lake in Mexico. Sorry... that's my cabin fever showing :fish
Seriously, if the river was not too high I would take a look at Guntersville. Never fished it but on my bucket list.

I was thinking Alabama initially, but going to be tough for all that water to get downstream unless it does rain much the next 3 weeks. Thanks!!

Guntersville won't be bad.

Thanks. Reelfoot has been on my crappie bucket list. Would you recommend a guide for the first time?

I’ve fished Reelfoot bunches of times.
Never had a guide because my brother lived in Dyersburg, Tn.
I never cared for the drive. No easy way to get there. Don’t plan on running because it’s stumpy, stumpy, and did I mention stumpy.

The way it's been raining around here I wouldn't have to go any farther than my back door !! :Rofl

I live right across the river from you.
