Been scatching my old head trying to figure out how they make jellybelly jigs,
and can't figure how to get the feathers under the belly without destroying
the feathers............I know I only have a G.E.D.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the jelly part is shrunk on over the marabou.
Like those shrinkys you put over electrical connections. It's just made of a different material.
At least that's what it looks like to me.
Someone on this forum will set us straight on it. This is a great place to learn.
the marabou is tied on the jighead ... then that is placed in a mold, and the plastic "jellybelly" is poured onto it. As I understand it, it takes a special mold to accomplish this. There are several "makers" of this style of jig ... a couple of whom are members here. That's about all I remember of the previous discussion about "molding" this style of jig.Quote:
