Just curious if anyone has been fishing in a boat in this weather? Does anyone put a boat in waters that have some ice in it? Dont really know what the dangers would be or serious they would be(?)? Sorry for the stupid questions but I got no where else to ask.
Yes I do put a boat in till ice up. My cut off point is when the high temps stay in the teens all day. That seems to be when the plumbing freezes and I have had the kicker motor freeze in place and I had to use the anchor to break ice away from the motor. The other thing I have trouble with is the ramp getting jammed with float ice. Oh and the ramp will be slick if there is a lot of traffic. Other than that its all good.:twocents
