Jim and I combo trolled yesterday. We had a fair day. We kept 18 fish 11-12.5 inches in length. The bigger fish evaded us all day but we managed enough good eating size to put in the live well. The water temperature was 53-55 degrees. We caught most of the fish in the main creek channels and coves that had small creek channels. We were trolling about 8-10 feet deep and I added 1/24 oz split shot to some of my long lines to get a bit deeper. We caught fish on blue/black/char, Tenn. shad, wildcat and assorted other colors. The late afternoon bite was the best part of the day and we were able to catch fish in places that did not produce fish earlier in the day. We had to work for them. So far this fall the fishing has not been as good as in previous years but it may yet improve. It looks like Jim and I are out of service for a while as he is having to work on his boat trailer and my Yamaha outboard got sick at the end of the day yesterday. Please pray for my Yamaha. Just kidding. I hope you enjoy the video.
