Does pressure on top of water, change PH level as far as moving the alkalinity . up in water column ?
Or down? Or does it have any effect ?

I would say it does have an effect. Especially going by what the old timers thought

Pressure up- fish go down, Pressure down- the fish go up, works almost every time.
Old timers had it figured out
As I understand it (and according to Mr Google) : in the case where the air pressure increases, more carbon dioxide will dissolve into the solution, decreasing its pH.
