Fix trailer brief trip on the red
Replaced two rollers on the boat trailer. Tried the cold chisel(thanks Skippa), and it worked great on the first one. That was the one I put on last weekend that was too short, but I had to use something. I put the chisel just outside the base of the little rectangle part that holds the cap on, and gave it whack. That flattened that part and the cap popped off! The other one had been on there for 10-15 years and that trick didn't work on it. Plan B was a cordless sawzall with a hacksaw blade. That did it! Wear some eye protection! I didn't have any issues, but if a blade broke or a piece of metal came off, it could get bad.
New rollers on, time for a brief fishing trip. Caught 9. Only got bites in the deepest water(8-9ft), and had to let the jig sit still, and then drop it 4-6 inches. Got a few very soft pecks, but I kept the jig in their face and eventually caught most of them.
