Lake Cumberland Crappie
Here are some crappie I caught this week on Cumberland. The first pic is 19 that I caught Monday morning in about 4 hrs. The second pic is a limit of crappie I caught yesterday. All fish were caught in less than 8 ft of water. The picture doesn't do them justice. I'm having trouble getting this posting thing worked out. But the smallest fish in each picture was 10 1/4 inches, so that gives you an idea about the rest of them. Whoever says Cumberland crappie can't be caught shallow in the hot summertime is wrong....just plain wrong.

Greenfish, some of the fish came out of water 5 ft deep. For some reason, the minnows are way back up in the end of the creeks by the millions, which seems earlier than usual. These are Beaver Creek fish.

Great post KFM. They sure look healthy. Started to call you and see if you wanted to go trout fishing below Wolf Creek but I lost your number. Been there the last few weeks on and off. PM me and we can hook up if you want. I will show you how to catch them there. Not fly fishing. Over a hundred trips on the river. Working on upper end. Hope I am not stepping on your post. Went to Somerset to get some bunk boards I broke. Everything on one road. Are you guiding now?
