Are your Way Points missing - gone
I fish a Reservoir built just over 50 years ago . Two small Rivers feed into a lake about 15 miles long -- with old river channel from one end to the other -- No Topo maps were ever made, Boat lanes are marked good but lots of Pilings used are ow gone.. Some Boat lanes were routed across sand Bars or short cuts that were not in the old channel... Most Channel water is 25 to 45 feet deep. the channel is where everybody fishes for Crappie in the Winter. I had rough ideas where several old Blowdown were that rested on bottom that Ate dozens of my jigs. When I got a new Helix, I braved the heat to actually create new Way Points where they were located without the 20 foot thick layer of Shad during the Winter.... those flooded Trees are Gone. The Flood this year was 10 ft above Pool and the Flood 3 years ago was 12 ft over Pool. The flood 3 yrs ago destroyed Docks, Boathouses , Flooded homes and closed Roads for Miles. Red Cross helped folks recover ---- Old Blow Down that had been sticking out in the Lake that I fished --- Washed away --Gone. I just went on Google Earth that I use from time to time looking for places to fish and those old trees that stuck out of the water are gone too... I think the Current rolled the Blow downs breaking off the Limbs scattering debris across the floor of the lake .. With all the Flooding from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico your Favorite top Marked on the Sonar in your Ride Might need some serious up-dating.....
