Livescope
Anyone running it yet? Pretty impressive. Been watching it being used on YouTube and it makes me want one. I don't need one but want one. I have the garmin panoptix ice bundle and used it in south Dakota last winter and was pretty sweet. Livescope looks way better but the price tag is tough to justify.

Playing with one
Really impressive displays.:yikes I'm not the best jig fisher and with this unit was pretty embarrassing:Doh: knowing the fish were there and looked at my jig, but did'nt bite :dono. Would follow but not strike. Some of my best moves(I thought) actually:scratchhead spooked them. Will more than likely purchase one when the next generation comes to market.:ThumbsUp <*)}}}><

I think fishing standing timber it would really shine. I know the panoptix ice bundle was impressive watching how walleye, yellow perch and white suckers would react to your bait and cadence. Good tool but doesn't guarantee a bite.

Beats the heck out of that spinning thing with the little light flash’s on my first bass boat.

Yes! I have one and love it! I’ve caught so many crappie out in open water in places you wouldn’t even think to look for them. Keep your jig dead still until they bite and if they don’t bite after a minute start raising it away from them and it triggers a reaction bite! So much fun! If they look at your jig and swim away hold it there for a bit and a lot of times they will come back and bite it. If they keep refusing to bite try downsizing. I learn more and more about fish behavior every time I’m out using the livescope!

I own one and made a pivoting pole attachment for my boat that mounts next to my steering wheel. In terms of finding fish its awesome. In terms of finding your jig deeper than 15 ft its not that great. Usually showing as a tiny speck moving up and down. When i use it with the ice fishing pole and bag it is MUCH better since you are a lot more stationary. I make and manufacture the 8 deg offset shim that brings the transducer back down to level and have had Livescope since last October. My pole can withstand 20 mph in a boat (forgot to put it back up), but its pretty slick for finding fish. I spent a week at El Dorado and i can tell you just about every tree there is holding crappie, just not the numbers you would think. I did find one or two trees holding quite a few. It shines a lot better in water under 15ft but with the flooding and debris in the water clarity wasnt the best. I caught a monster wiper at Glen on the ice this year and i saw the school swim by my casting spoon, saw the fish turn and nail it. You can tell what species they are when you are dialed in. I kept the lowrances on my rig and still use the side/down scan, mapping of those in combination with the Garmin. if you can anchor/spot lock on something it will help but you will still have to constantly scan around to find fish not directly below you.

Taking the plunge. Bought a garmin echomap plus 93 sv to start building my livescope system. Next step save up for the transducer and module. Also in the process of making a pole mount for the transducer. Ordered a shallow water anchor system that will attach in my seaark rail system. Would love some pics and info on yours you build ksgoosekller.

I have one and it's awesome. Braid line show up like cable, I found this summer that I couldn't catchem with so much with jigs but drop a minner down on a drop shot jig and get ready. The real opener is when I find them on timber that I catch a few and then they go under the boat where you can't get them to get out of the sun.

I just got mine hooked up, I am so ready!
