I hit it alot years ago and for sure it can be feast or famine . they will be so heavy in the timber some days you think you should go pro . a little wind change or cloud cover and or some other thing like a quick water drop (they do all the time there I might add) and KABOOM you are done :Rofl
I have yet to hit it this year but my bud went 2 days ago and reported the same thing to me . 4 keepers in a long day of searching all the locations we typically target .
where they went is a guess but to be sure if there isn't a thermocline well developed they will park really deep on trees with a lock jaw that needs a tetanus shot .
