clear plastic tails still catching fish - even in murky green water!
All species have been getting caught on clear plastic sticks and grubs. Clear doesn't mean transparent and when we talk about finesse action lures, I sometimes think finesse colors get as many bites. Here are a few recent catches:

Seems to me that color is overrated and geared more toward angler preference vs fish preference. But one other consideration other than color is flash. I brushed Mend_It soft plastic glue on this lure and pressed it in some craft glitter to create a sparkling lure that would stand out in murky green water. It caught fish first time cast!

So in a sense, the dark lure and sparkle contrasted with the background and enhanced the lure's action - flapping, quivering tips.
